   Police Resource Management

Program Description
The Police Resource Management course presents concepts, strategies, and models, which will orient middle manager participants toward the development, organization, utilization, and conservation of both resources and information. This will in turn allow the law enforcement organization to efficiently and effectively accomplish its mission.

During the course, participants will assess the impact of technology on policing, trace the legacy of earlier ground-breaking programs nationally, discuss crime-specific policing and deployment analysis, view an allocation model for patrol, and discuss trends in the management of criminal investigations. Illinois models of crime accountability programs will be presented. The course will lead participants to begin to identify a policing resource management model for the agency in the information age.
